COE continues to grow into the 21st century C.O.E. started as a web consulting company in 1995, assisting small businesses in establishing their Internet web presence and setting up electronic storefronts. In 1997 when the e-commerce revolution started to take shape, management at C.O.E. decided to enter the e-commerce marketplace selling anime merchandise. Since then, C.O.E. has become a pioneer in its own niche in providing retail, merchandising and marketing of anime related products. Combining business savvy and technical background, C.O.E. has established a strong web presence for its two flagship stores, the DBZ Specialty Store and Sailor Moon Specialty Store.

Below is a brief timeline outlining several major ventures taken at C.O.E. since its inception in 1995.

C.O.E. starts as a web consulting company.

C.O.E. establishes the DBZ Specialty Store - the first ever e-commerce site dedicated solely to official Dragonball related merchandise.

With the success of the DBZ Specialty Store, management saw a potential growth opportunity in establishing another exclusive product line e-commerce site. This idea grew to become the Sailor Moon Specialty Store, the first e-commerce site to sell exclusively official Sailor Moon merchandise.

In early 1999, C.O.E. produces DBZ mousepads under license from FUNimation, Inc - the master licensee for DBZ in the U.S. At the same time, C.O.E. works with Navarette Editorial of Peru to act as the sole distributorship of their DBZ sticker album merchandise for the U.S. market.

In just two years time, The DBZ and SM stores have become two of the most sought after sites for fans of those respective Japanese animation series.

In late 2000, C.O.E. announces the official launch of AsianMall.com. Positioning itself as a window to Asia, C.O.E. intends to bring together - all under one roof - shoppers, merchants and content and solution partners interested in Asian-related products and services through AsianMall.com.

Japanimation.com is launched Fall 2001. A resource portal for Japanese animation, animé (a.k.a japanimation), it is a site "created for fans, by fans" which also sells Anime-related products.
